Age Guardian’s makes it easier to discuss age verification with customers. By relying on a consistent store policy, conversations become more straightforward.
Age Guardian estimates whether a customer appears to be over (green indicator) or under (red indicator)
25 years old. The final decision always belongs to the cashier, if you have any doubt, you must request identification, even if the indicator is green.
In any case, Age Guardian helps initiate the conversation about age verification and serves as an additional layer of support, helping cashiers and retailers strengthen their compliance, practices and deliver faster customer service.
A Tool that Makes the Conversation Easier
Presenting the age verification as part of your store's policy often helps reduce tension and ensures a respectful experience. For example, you can say:

Terms of use
Age Guardian is a decision-support tool that provides an estimate of a person’s apparent age to help staff determine when an ID check is recommended. This estimate is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute verification or confirmation of legal age.
Age Guardian does not replace the judgment of the retailer or its staff, nor does it replace applicable age-verification procedures. The final decision to approve or refuse a sale, as well as the responsibility for verifying the customer’s age, remains at all times with the retailer and its staff.
When Age Guardian recommends an ID check, staff must request valid identification in accordance with the retailer’s policies and applicable laws. Even when Age Guardian does not recommend an ID check, staff must request identification whenever there is any doubt regarding the customer’s age.
Age Guardian provides an estimate based on apparent age and does not guarantee the accuracy of every estimate. Age Guardian and its manufacturer cannot be held liable for any decision to approve or refuse a sale, or for any consequences arising from the use or interpretation of the estimate provided by the system.
Use of Age Guardian constitutes acceptance of these terms.
Safety
The heat sink on the back of the device will become hot during operation. Use caution when handling. Contact the Customer Service for any concerns.

Start the installation by choosing the location
Visible presence of Age Guardian helps discourage illegal purchase attempts. For optimal detection, avoid strong light sources behind the customer helps.
Option 1: Table-top Installation
The table-top stand is a flexible installation option.
Installation steps:
1. Screw the stand tube onto the stand base
2. Screw the stand to Age Guardian
3. Plug the power adaptor to the electric outlet
4. Plug the power connector to Age Guardian
Option 2: Adhesive Mount Installation
It is easier to attach the camera to the mounting bracket before securing the bracket to a smooth surface. This makes it easier to adjust the camera's angle and avoids handling the bracket after installation.
Installation steps:
1. Screw the mounting bracket to Age Guardian
2. Plug the power adaptor to the electric outlet and
run the cable to chosen location.
3a. Test the position before sticking it to the surface
3b. Ensure the sticking surface is clean, dry and smooth
3c. Remove the adhesive backing and press
4. Plug the USB connector to Age Guardian

Steep viewing angles can reduce the accuracy of age estimation. Ensure the device is facing customers.

Strong backlighting can reduce the accuracy of age estimation. Position the device to minimize backlight and avoid direct light behind customers.

Age Guardian must be powered using a 27W / 5A power supply. Always use the power adapter provided.
